Key Highlights:

  • Deriv introduces ‘Tactical Indices,’ a tool that automates trading strategies.
  • The first set of strategies is based on RSI (Relative Strength Index) with silver as the underlying asset.
  • More features like MACD and Bollinger Bands are planned for 2025.

What Are Tactical Indices?

Deriv, a forex and CFDs broker, has launched a new tool called ‘Tactical Indices.’ This tool is designed to help traders by automating trading strategies. Instead of manually adjusting trades, the platform takes care of the process for you.

With Tactical Indices, traders can follow predefined rules based on technical indicators, such as RSI, to take advantage of market trends, price momentum, and trend reversals. This makes trading easier and saves time while reducing the hassle of manual rebalancing.

How Does It Work?

At launch, Tactical Indices offer four strategies based on the RSI indicator:

  1. Momentum Indices: These follow trends, helping traders capitalize on upward or downward movements in silver prices.
  2. Contrarian Indices: These aim to benefit from trend reversals, predicting when prices might move in the opposite direction.

These strategies are built around silver, a widely traded commodity, and are available on Deriv’s platforms, including MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and Deriv X.

What’s Coming Next?

Deriv plans to expand its Tactical Indices by mid-2025, adding:

  • New indicators like MACD and Bollinger Bands.
  • More asset classes beyond silver.
  • Advanced strategies like pairs trading to diversify trading options.

A Step Towards Smarter Trading

The new Tactical Indices bridge the gap between complex trading strategies and easy execution. Traders no longer need to spend time adjusting trades manually or worrying about the costs associated with rebalancing.

Prakash Bhudia, Head of Product and Growth at Deriv, said:

“Tactical Indices make advanced trading strategies accessible and straightforward. We aim to empower traders to focus on strategy while the platform handles the execution.”

Why Is This Important?

The trading world often lacks innovation, but tools like Tactical Indices offer something new. By automating complex strategies, Deriv is helping traders—especially beginners—access professional-level trading techniques without the learning curve.
