A Bitcoin wallet from 2009, known for its connections to the early days of Bitcoin, has made another notable transfer. According to Arkham Intelligence, the wallet recently moved $630,000 worth of BTC to the Kraken exchange. This wallet mined its Bitcoin just a month after the first-ever Bitcoin block was created on January 13, 2009. Within the past two months, it has transferred a total of $5.5 million worth of Bitcoin. Even after these movements, the wallet still holds $75.23 million in Bitcoin.
The most recent transfer, similar in size to one made in October, has stirred interest in the cryptocurrency community. The wallet’s activity has fueled speculation about its possible connection to Satoshi Nakamoto, Bitcoin’s anonymous creator. Despite these speculations, it’s unlikely that the transfer is related to Satoshi, as a more detailed analysis in a similar case in May 2020 showed that an early transaction was unrelated to him.
Bitcoin’s price has not been affected by this large transfer, currently sitting above the $66,000 level after a 5.3% rise.
